Iron Legion Featured Athlete – 0330 2020

While we may not be in class meeting and talking to our fellow members, we want to give you the opportunity to learn a little bit more about our fantastic community. Sherri has been a member of the Wolfpack for a couple years and we’re applauding her dedication to our virtual classes!

Learn more about Sherri below!

Where are you from?

SS: I was born in Minnesota but have lived in Ocala since I was 10.

What do you do for a living?

SS: I’m an ICU nurse at West Marion Hospital.

How are you doing this trying time?

SS:I’m extremely bored during this isolation. I actually got a puzzle out

What is some advice you wish you could give everyone?

SS: My advice right now is to stay home and protect yourself and others. Our COVID-19 numbers are growing and these patients are very sick

What is your favorite CrossFit movement?

SS: My favorite movement is probably wall balls but only because I couldn’t hardly do one when I started so it feels good that I can do them now.

What is your least favorite CrossFit movement?

SS: Least favorite is sled pushing. Ugh

What is a goal you’ve crossed off your list since being a member at Iron Legion?

SS: A goal I have accomplished is simply sticking to an exercise plan for more than a month.

What is a future goal you’re working towards?

SS: Still working on pushups and pull-ups.

What is your go to meal or food prep trick during the week?

SS: I bring lunch to work that I prepare the night before. It keeps me out of the cafeteria.

What is your favorite local restaurant and what do you get from there?

SS: I like the ahi tuna salad at Harry’s

What do you do do rest and recover?

SS: I started initially through the boot camp.

What initially brought you into CrossFit Iron Legion and what would you tell someone hesitant about trying CrossFit out?

SS: I’d tell people that it never gets boring!
