Personal training is working one-on-one with a client to plan or implement an exercise or fitness regimen based on their personal goals or needs. At Iron Legion, our trainers forge close bonds with our trainees and we work toward your goals, should-to-shoulder, in the trenches with you.

What can I expect during my first personal training session?

Your first session is all about understanding you. We’ll talk goals, training history, and any limitations you may have. Then your coach will guide you through a movement assessment and a short workout so we can build a program that fits your exact needs. No pressure, just clarity and direction.

How is personal training different from group classes?

Group classes give you structure and community. Personal training gives you laser-focused attention. Every movement, rep, and progression is tailored specifically to your body, schedule, and goals. You move at your pace — with a coach who knows your capabilities inside and out.

Can personal training help me lose weight or build muscle?

Yes — and faster than doing it alone. Your coach designs your sessions and your progression with those exact outcomes in mind. You’ll train smarter, avoid plateaus, and build habits that keep your results long-term.

What if I’m dealing with an injury or physical limitation?

We work with many clients who are rehabbing, returning from injury, or managing chronic issues. Your program is built around your current capabilities, and your coach will help you rebuild strength safely while improving mobility, balance, and confidence.

Do I need to be in shape before hiring a personal trainer?

Not at all. Personal training is one of the safest and most effective ways to begin your fitness journey. We meet you exactly where you are, build your foundation, and help you progress at a pace that feels challenging but doable.

How often should I train with a personal trainer?

Most clients train 2–4 times per week depending on their schedule and goals. Consistency is key — and we design your sessions to complement your lifestyle so you can stay on track without burning out.

Will I need to follow a specific diet?

We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all diets. If nutrition is part of your goal, your coach can help you develop sustainable habits around fueling, recovery, and performance. Think guidance — not restrictions.

How long does it take to see results?
