Sean Riley is Ocala through and through. Born and raised here, a West Port High School product, he built his life around the same thing he now builds in others — real, usable strength that holds up when life demands it.
But Sean doesn’t just coach strength. He competes in it. As a U80kg Strongman athlete, he trains and tests himself under the heaviest implements in the sport, holding himself to the same standard he asks of every client. When you train with Sean, you’re learning from someone who lives the work, not just teaches it.
Ask him why he coaches, though, and the answer has nothing to do with trophies. “I chose to become a strength and conditioning coach because it’s where I find true purpose — helping men and women unlock their strongest, fittest selves. It’s not just about lifting weights. It’s about empowering people to face every life challenge with greater strength and confidence.”

As an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer on the Iron Legion floor, Sean meets people exactly where they are — the first-timer who’s never touched a barbell and the seasoned lifter chasing the next number get the same thing from him: honest coaching, real standards, and a plan that actually works.

You get my full attention for the entire session. We start with an honest assessment of where you are right now — not where you think you should be. From there I build a plan around your body, your goals, and your schedule, and I coach every rep in real time: adjusting the load, fixing your movement, and pushing you at a pace that gets results without breaking you down. I’m not going to demonstrate something and walk away. I’m in it with you.

Anyone who’s ready to stop spinning their wheels. I work with complete beginners and experienced lifters, men and women, people chasing fat loss and people chasing strength. What they share isn’t a fitness level — it’s a willingness to show up and do the work. If you want someone to tell you what you want to hear, I’m not your guy. If you want honesty and a real standard, we’ll get along great.

It starts with a conversation and watching you move. I want to know your training history, any injuries, what your week actually looks like, and what you really want to accomplish. Then I build a program that progresses on purpose — not random exercises thrown together, but a plan with a direction. As a competing Strongman, I’ve learned firsthand what it takes to build strength under real load, and that goes straight into how I program for you. We track it so you can see the numbers move.

That depends on how consistent you are and how honest you are with yourself outside the gym. With clients who show up and follow the plan, strength gains come quickly — often within the first couple of months — and body composition follows. But the result people tell me about most isn’t a number on the bar. It’s how they feel: more capable, more confident, and more disciplined in every part of their life.

Then you’re in a great spot — no bad habits to undo. New lifters are some of my favorite people to coach, because personal training is the best possible entry point. You get proper coaching on movement from day one and build a foundation that serves you for decades, instead of guessing your way through it.

Most gyms sell you a membership and hope you disappear. Iron Legion is the opposite — when you train here you’re part of a community that holds each other accountable, in a facility built for serious work.
