Why competitors choose Iron Legion
The only gym in Ocala built around strongman
Most gyms have a sled and call it functional. We bought every stone, yoke, log and axle on this floor because strongman athletes need to train the actual events, not substitutes. Our equipment has been curated with intention for over a decade, and the people training next to you are competing at local, national and world level.
Whether you are peaking for a show or building your first off-season, you get competition implements, real programming and a room full of people who know what a stone load feels like.
Competition Implements
Stones, yokes, logs, axles, frames, sandbags and custom event apparatus you will actually see on contest day.
On + Off-Season Programming
Personalized in-house programming built around your next show, or your first one.
Train With Competitors
National champions and World Final athletes train here every week.
Room to Move
Indoor floor plus outdoor space for carries, drags and medleys under the Florida sun.

Home of the Ocala Strength Open
Each September we take strongman to the streets of downtown Ocala. The Ocala Strength Open is a United States Strongman sanctioned meet with novice, open and masters divisions, and for many athletes it is their first strongman competition.
The 2026 show tested athletes across five events, including a frame carry and pull medley, Fingal’s Fingers, Conan’s Wheel and the SwampViking Press. Before every meet, Coach Ted runs free event seminars and Strongman Saturday practice days so first-timers walk in ready.
